ESMA consultation on the Technical Standards for elaboration of EMIR
05-07-2012ESMA, the European Securities and Markets Authority, consult the technical standards that are part of the Regulation on OTC Derivatives, CCPs and Trade Repositories (EMIR), until 5 August 2012.
The consultation will deal, inter alia, with the type of data that users of derivatives have to provide in order to comply with the disclosure obligations, the actions that must be taken by central counterparties and trade repositories to obtain registration, and when parties can obtain an exemption from the requirements imposed by EMIR on OTC derivatives.
